چکیده

Abstract Background Research and clinical studies have established a pivotal role of inflammation in the development progression both cardiac vascular diseases, responsive to injurious factors such as smoking, hypertension, dyslipidemia, hyperglycemia. This study analyzed association various lipids, HbA1c glucose with high-sensitivity CRP (hs-CRP), marker low-grade chronic inflammation, community-based adult population. Methods Data analysis was carried out on within-collection results obtained from adults (> = 20 yrs) 2019 2022. Tests included hs-CRP, cholesterol (n 74 560), triglycerides 551), LDL-C 73 426), HDL-C 458), non-HDL-C 69 808), ApoB 3122), Lp(a) 4444), fasting 42 954) or 62 486). All tests were performed Roche Cobas instrumentation. Chi square evaluate between each lipid glycemic indicator hs-CRP. Relative risk (RR) odds ratio (OR) calculated assess strength association. Results Chi-square test demonstrated hs-CRP HDL-C, triglycerides, HbA1c, non-HDL-C, LDL-C, glucose, ApoB, but not Lp(a). Increased elevated (3.0 -10.0 mg/L) observed abnormal levels. Higher RR OR seen decreased non-HDL-C. Slightly increased also Conclusion Glucose most parameters associated Stronger carbohydrates (glucose triglycerides), followed by triglycerides-rich had weaker association, no observation large data set community population may provide helpful insight prevention management inflammation.

High sensitivity CRP and cognition

Background: inflammation has been linked to cognitive impairment. However, limited data are available on the association between inflammatory markers and cognitive function. Objectives: we tested the hypothesis that elevated serum concentration of high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), an established marker of low-grade inflammation, predicts cognitive impairment in elderly women. Design...

High Sensitivity C Reactive Protein (hs-CRP) in Adolescent and Young Adult Patients with History of Kawasaki Disease.

BACKGROUND For children with a history of Kawasaki disease (KD), low grade inflammation was generally reported to be associated with persistent coronary artery lesions (CAL). However, this association has not been clearly demonstrated to hold true in KD adolescents and young adults (10-25 years of age). METHODS We enrolled 104 subjects into our study, who were separated into the following 3 g...

Serum Phospholipase A2-IIA, hs-CRP, and Lipids in Women With Subclinical Hypothyroidism

BACKGROUND Subclinical hypothyroidism (SCH) is a metabolic disorder characterized by elevated TSH level but normal T4 level. Some previous studies suggest that SCH is associated with inflammation. OBJECTIVES The present study aimed to compare lipid serum levels in SCH patients and normal participants, also explore possible association between SCH and the two inflammatory markers hs-CRP and PL...

Comparative analysis of Bayer wide-range C-reactive protein (wr-CRP) and the Dade-Behring high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) in patients with inflammatory bowel disease.

OBJECTIVE The recently introduced Bayerwide-range C-reactive protein (wr-CRP) assay might be relevant for the real-time low-cost and online determination of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) activity. Our aim was to examine whether wr-CRP can substitute for the Dade Behring high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) assay in IBD patients. METHODS A total of 71 patients with IBD, of whom 48 h...

Distribution and association of hs-CRP with cardiovascular risk variables of metabolic syndrome in adolescent learners

OBJECTIVE Metabolic syndrome (MetS) and its associated cardiovascular risk are on the increase in children. High-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) has emerged as a useful marker for inflammation associated with atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease. Our aim was to determine the distribution of hs-CRP in an effort to identify the MetS variable that is critical in modulating plasma CRP...
